Bio

Destiny Cooper is an active musician and music educator in the South Shore area, who is currently a Choral Director and General Music Teacher for the Middle School grade level. As a member of ACDA since her college years, Destiny is looking forward to serving ACDA for the first time on a state level. Destiny is also affiliated with NAfME, JEN, AEA and the BOSS Festival.

Destiny is passionate about working with community organizations and using music as a way to bring people together which drew her to becoming a Teaching Fellow for Boston Children’s Chorus. Now a conductor in the organization, she works with various ensembles and facilitates activities with students to inspire social inquiry. In addition to teaching, Destiny continues to perform in various groups in the Boston area and collaborate with other Boston artists.

Destiny has held various positions in music programs and organizations including Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Princeton Girl Choir, and the National Youth Orchestra with Carnegie Hall. Destiny previously worked with Children Song of New Jersey and Westminster Neighborhood Children’s Chorus as an Associate Conductor.

Destiny earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Music Education from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.
