About the Adjudicator
New Zealander Jane E. Money founded Boston City Singers in 1995 as a division of Youth Pro Musica. In 2003, Boston City Singers became a separate program with headquarters in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood and now serves over 500 singers aged 4 – 18 each year.
Jane holds masters degrees in music from Auckland University in New Zealand; in music education from Trinity College of Music in London; and in engineering from Boston University. She has over 25 years of experience in teaching music in classrooms, school and church choirs, including the Metropolitan Opera Guild and St Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Wellesley, MA. She, along with Boston City Singers, is a frequent workshop/concert presenter at ACDA, MMEA, AGO and Chorus America.
Jane has led tours across the US and Canada, and to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Costa Rica and Argentina. In 2015, the Tour Choir were finalists in the pilot season of WGBH’s “Sing That Thing,” and were later featured in WGBH’s “Greater Boston.”
Jane and her family have lived in Dorchester for over 25 years. In between the many activities of Boston City Singers, she fosters dogs for New England Brittany Rescue and volunteers at Daily Table, a nonprofit community grocery store.
