Festival Conductor/Adjudicator – Rebecca Kenneally

Rebecca Kenneally has been building choirs and directing theater for over 20 years in the Boston area, and internationally in Canada and Sweden. As the Chair of the Performing Arts Department and Choral/Musical Theater Director at Endicott College in Beverly, MA, she led the Endicott Chorus to victory in the television contest Sing That Thing! in 2017. Under her direction, the Youth Choir at Old North Church in Marblehead earned second place in The American Prize in 2011. Kenneally’s previous appointments include conductor of GirlChoir, a select high school ensemble at the Performing Arts at Lincoln School (now named Voices Boston), and the director of middle and high school choirs at Austin Preparatory School. She has prepared children’s choirs for organizations such as the Boston Lyric Opera and the Boston Early Music Festival. In 2015, Kenneally was selected as an International Conducting Fellow to Sweden for the American Choral Directors Association. A frequent clinician, conductor, adjudicator, and coach in the US and Canada, Kenneally has presented workshops on youth choir warm-ups and recruitment for conferences held by ACDA, MMEA, and Salem State University. Kenneally holds degrees in voice and conducting from Northwestern University and The New England Conservatory of Music.
