34 Dix Street
Winchester, MA 01890
The goal of the workshop is to provide directors and singers the opportunity to explore best practices in worship music and provide ideas for anthems, hymns and songs to incorporate into our services.
If possible, directors are encouraged to bring a balanced representation of their choirs, which will rehearse as a combined volunteer choir to perform at the end of the workshop. Sessions will include:
- A Reading Session including Quality Literature to Use throughout the Liturgical Year (led by Sean Landers)
- Selecting Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs to Tell God’s Story in Worship (led by Michael F. Smith)
- Using CPDL for the Church Year (led by Chris Clark)
- Recent Church Music of Alice Parker
Additionally, we welcome you to bring members of your choir, who will rehearse and perform at the end of the day (led by Dr. Kevin J. McDonald).
Come join us for an enriching, rejuvenating afternoon of music as we explore ways to use music to enhance worship in our churches! Click here to register.
Cost: $10 for Directors in ACDA ($15 for non-members); $5 for participating choir members. All payments will be accepted on the day of the event.
