The Bridgewater State University Alumni Chamber Choir, Bridgewater, MA seeks a
Choral Conductor interested in the position of Music Director of the University’s Alumni
Chamber Choir. The Music Director will choose repertoire, arrange for rehearsal space
and concerts in conjunction with the Executive Board, direct rehearsals and prepare the
choir for all performances, choose accompanist for rehearsals and concerts, call extra
rehearsal time when deemed necessary, and arrange and supervise auditions as
The choir’s season runs from September – May, as per the University’s calendar.
Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights, from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. The choir performs 2
concerts per semester and serves the University with additional on-campus and/or
outreach performances as needed throughout the year. The Music Director is
responsible for performing with the choir for all such events.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Music and at least 5 years’
experience as a Choral Director.
