Bio

Nhung Truong is the Director of Music and a choral director at the Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, MA where she conducts various choirs grades 7-12. She also conducts the MIT Women’s Chorale, a community group through the MIT Women’s League.

Outside of classroom teaching, Nhung is active in many organizations that allow her to serve the greater choral community, and learn from and share knowledge with choral colleagues. A frequent guest conductor, Nhung has been invited to conduct several honor choirs in Massachusetts and Connecticut, presented at ACDA and NafME conferences, and has been published in journals on topics such as hiring, DEI, repertoire, and innovative warmups. Nhung has sung with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and the Seraphim Singers. She has previously served on the MassACDA board as the Diversity Chair and the Publicity Chair.

Nhung holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from UMass-Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Providence College.
