Bio

Richard Saber is a second-semester transfer student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA studying Music Education with a minor in Choral Conducting. His college education began at Westminster Choir College where he studied with renowned faculty Jay Carter, James Jordan, Tom Shelton, and many more. He is from South Orange, NJ where he studied choral music at Columbia High School under the direction of Jamie Bunce.

As an active soloist and section leader, Richard has been hired at some of Boston’s top churches such as Trinity Church, Old South Church, and All Saints Parish. Having been exposed to high level choral music at an early age, ACDA is an organization that immediately drew his attention. Upon arriving in Boston, he and Dr. Nathan Reiff began working to establish a chapter of ACDA at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

As a choral scholar, Richard also loves choral chamber ensembles and started the Berklee and Boston Conservatory Chamber Singers in Spring of 2022. The group performs works spanning from the early Baroque period to the 21st Century with a special attention to early music and educating the ensemble through their repertoire. His goal is to become a collegiate choral director upon the completion of graduate school.
