Andrea Welty Peachey is an instructional professor at Gordon College in the music education program, where she is assistant director of the Gordon College Children’s Chorus, teaches classes in music education, music in worship, world music and voice class for non-vocal majors. She is a twenty-five year veteran of choral directing and music teaching in the public schools in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Texas and Illinois. She graduated from Goshen College in northern Indiana with a BA in music education and later an MA in music education from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. She has sung with numerous community choirs and currently sings with Cantemus on the north shore. She lives with her husband in Ipswich and her daughter is in graduate school at the University of Michigan.
